How do I book an appointment? You can book directly through this website by clicking on the “Connect” tab. A doctor’s referral is NOT required.
What should I expect when I come? Prior to your first appointment, two electronic forms will be sent to you to complete. You can print them and bring them with you or you may email them back prior to your first session. Please arrive 5-10 minutes before your appointment time. Sessions are 1 hour in length, and the first session is to explore what brought you to counselling, discussing what you'd like to see improve by setting some goals, and a general get-to-know you. At the end of the session we will discuss with you if you'd like to book another session.
How much does it cost? Your personal investment is $130 per session (1 hour) and is payable by cash, credit card or email money transfer (etransfer). Payment is due at the end of each session. Receipts are provided to submit to your extended health benefit plans. Direct billing is NOT provided. Please inquire before booking if your benefits cover a Registered Social Worker.
How many sessions will I need? How often do I come? As a team we will make a plan for how frequently you would like to meet. Some people attend only once or twice, and others attend for longer. The approach is solution-focused, meaning that when you feel that you've met your goals, or feel content with how things in life are going, sessions will pause or end until if/when you feel you want to come back again.
What are your office hours? The office has flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
